FOREFANS GOLF FAQ
One shot. Verified gameplay. Prize opportunities.
ForeFans Golf is a live, on-course entertainment platform that turns a normal round into a competitive experience. Players can enter challenges directly from the tee box for a chance to participate in prize challenges, verified through the ForeFans Verification System.
No. ForeFans Games are currently available only at select Authorized Game Locations and may be limited to certain jurisdictions.
At select par-3 holes, golfers scan a QR code at the tee box, choose an entry amount, and take their shot. If your shot results in a hole-in-one, it will undergo verification through the ForeFans Verification System and, where applicable, independent insurance review before any prize is approved and awarded.
ELIGIBILITY
Yes. Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years old unless otherwise expressly permitted by ForeFans.
No. Eligibility restrictions apply, including limitations relating to professional golf status, recent varsity or NCAA competition, and other criteria described in the Official Rules.
Anyone who has competed in a High School Varsity or NCAA-sanctioned golf tournament within the past five (5) years is excluded. If your last varsity or NCAA-sanctioned competition was more than five years ago, you may be eligible — see the full eligibility criteria in the Official Rules.
Participants must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the contest rules, including age and amateur status where applicable.
Certain individuals, including ForeFans personnel, participating Game Operators, course staff, vendors, contractors, and related parties may be ineligible depending on the specific Game and Official Rules.
Possibly. Acceptance of prize money may impact your standing with the USGA, NCAA, state associations, collegiate programs, or other governing bodies. ForeFans does not provide legal, regulatory, or eligibility advice. You are solely responsible for determining how participation may affect your amateur standing. We recommend consulting your governing body before participating if this is a concern.
If you are physically located at an Authorized Game Location in Florida and meet all other eligibility requirements, you may participate. The Game is offered only within ForeFans’ then-current operating footprint.
ENTRY PROCESS
(1) Scan the official ForeFans QR code at the designated hole. (2) Provide the requested registration information and select your Entry tier. (3) Complete payment. (4) Receive activation confirmation. (5) Take your one (1) official shot attempt. You must complete registration AND receive activation confirmation BEFORE hitting your tee shot — shots taken before activation are not eligible.
Yes, entries must be completed before hitting your tee shot.
Each paid Entry authorizes one (1) official attempt per designated hole per day. ForeFans may impose additional limitations on the number of Entries per Player, per day, per round, or per Game. Current limits are displayed at the time of participation.
At this time, you do not need to create a persistent ForeFans account to play, but every Entry requires registration of basic personal information at the time of play — you’ll scan a QR code, provide your name and contact information, complete payment, and receive activation confirmation before taking your shot. The information collected is described in our Privacy Policy.
Entry tiers vary by course and hole and are displayed within the ForeFans Platform at the time of registration. Common tiers include $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100, but the available tiers and amounts may change. Higher Entry tiers may unlock higher prize tiers.
To be eligible, your shot must be taken from the designated tee box associated with the challenge. Shots taken from the wrong tee box will not qualify for prize consideration.
If you’re unsure which tee box is part of the challenge, please check the signage at the hole or confirm before hitting your shot.
Practice shots, warm-up shots, or any intentional stroke directed toward the target green prior to your official Entry attempt are prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification. Each Entry permits only one (1) Stroke. Mulligans, provisional balls, and substitute attempts are not allowed.
Only the shot associated with your official entry will count toward the challenge. Practice shots or additional balls are not eligible.
Once verification and required documentation are completed, prize processing timelines may vary depending on the specific challenge and any applicable insurance review requirements.
If the entry system is unavailable or inaccessible before your shot, do not attempt participation until the issue is resolved. Shots taken before a valid Entry is completed are not eligible.
No. Entries are personal to the registered participant and may not be transferred or used by another individual.
ForeFans accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, processed through ForeFans’ third-party payment processor.
Your Entry is not complete unless payment is successfully processed and activation confirmation is received before your shot attempt.
The Official Rules and ForeFans Platform instructions control in the event of any inconsistency. Course staff may assist operationally but cannot alter eligibility, verification, or prize requirements unless expressly authorized by ForeFans.
PRIZES AND PAYOUTS
Prize amounts vary by course, hole, and Entry level, and are displayed within the ForeFans Platform at the time of Entry. Some prize tiers offer cash awards that can range up to substantial amounts — the specific amount applicable to your Entry will be the amount confirmed within the ForeFans system at the time you complete the Entry. Odds of winning depend on Player skill.
Prize payments may be funded directly by ForeFans or through third-party insurance underwriting arrangements, depending on the Game. All prizes are subject to verification, eligibility review, completion of required documentation, and (where applicable) Underwriter Approval before payment. Specific payment timing depends on the Game and any applicable insurance review process.
Yes. Winners are responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes and may be required to complete tax documentation before receiving a payout.
Applicable law may require ForeFans to collect tax documentation before issuing certain prizes or payments.
Some prize challenges may involve third-party underwriters. In those cases, prize payment may require both ForeFans verification and underwriter approval under applicable underwriting requirements. ForeFans verification alone does not guarantee payment.
If you believe you’ve made a qualifying hole-in-one, you must notify ForeFans within twelve (12) hours of the shot through the ForeFans Platform or another method designated by ForeFans. Timely notice is a condition of eligibility, and failure to provide timely notice may result in disqualification. Don’t leave the course or end your day without submitting notice. After timely notice, you’ll be asked to complete additional documentation, including identification, tax forms, and an affidavit of eligibility, before any prize determination is finalized. Limited exceptions apply for documented medical emergencies, ForeFans Platform outages, or other circumstances genuinely beyond your control — see the Official Rules.
If you believe you made a qualifying hole-in-one, you must promptly notify ForeFans in accordance with the Official Rules and complete all required post-event documentation.
Required documentation may include:
- an affidavit of eligibility and compliance;
- identity verification;
- tax documentation (including IRS Form W-9 where applicable);
- course or witness verification forms; and
- any additional forms reasonably requested by ForeFans or an applicable insurance underwriter.
Required forms may be available through the ForeFans Platform, ForeFans website, or the participating course’s Pro Shop.
Failure to timely complete required documentation or cooperate with the verification process may result in disqualification or denial of prize eligibility.
No. Prize eligibility and payment are subject to compliance with the Official Rules, successful Verification, eligibility review, completion of required documentation, and (where applicable) Underwriter Approval. Notification that you’re a “Potential Winner” does not constitute confirmation of winning status.
Generally, no — once you’ve initiated an Entry through the ForeFans Platform, fees are non-refundable. There is one important exception: if your participation is materially prevented by a verified Technical Malfunction attributable to ForeFans, you may be entitled to a replay attempt, refund of your Entry fee, or other remedial action, in ForeFans’ reasonable discretion. The Terms of Service and Official Rules govern.
VERIFICATION & TECHNOLOGY
Every attempt is recorded by ForeFans’ closed-loop camera and Verification System, which captures video, audio, sensor, and gameplay data. Verification System data is the primary, authoritative, and controlling evidence for all gameplay determinations. Eyewitness accounts, course staff confirmation, and other external evidence cannot substitute for the Verification System.
The ForeFans Verification System is the primary method used to verify all gameplay outcomes. If a shot is not adequately captured due to a verified Technical Malfunction — a failure, interruption, or defect in the Verification System or related technology — ForeFans may, in its reasonable discretion exercised in good faith, offer a replay attempt, refund of your Entry fee, or other remedial action. If a shot can’t be captured because of conditions outside ForeFans’ control (for example, environmental conditions that don’t qualify as a Technical Malfunction), the shot may not be eligible for prize consideration. The Official Rules govern what qualifies as a Technical Malfunction.
If ForeFans determines that a verified Technical Malfunction materially impacted gameplay recording, ForeFans may, in its reasonable discretion exercised in good faith, offer a replay, refund, or other limited remedy in accordance with the Official Rules.
Video, audio, sensor, and gameplay data are required to verify participation, prevent fraud, confirm prize eligibility, comply with insurance and underwriting requirements, and maintain Game integrity. By participating, you consent to the recording. Recording is a condition of participation — if you do not consent, you cannot play.
Yes. By participating in the Game, you grant ForeFans a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use your name, image, likeness, voice, and any video or recordings captured during your participation, in any media, for promotional and other purposes — including social media, advertising, and Marketing Content. ForeFans owns all video, audio, and gameplay data captured by the Verification System. You may revoke consent for future Marketing Content as described in the Terms of Service; however, previously created or distributed content may continue to be used. The full grant of rights is in the Official Rules and Mobile Waiver.
ForeFans retains video, audio, and Verification System data for a Retention Period of forty-five (45) days following the Entry, after which it may be deleted in the ordinary course of business. Data may be retained longer where required by law, where ForeFans has received notice of a potential claim, or where retention is otherwise necessary for legal, insurance, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Yes. Entries may be disqualified for failure to comply with the Official Rules, including eligibility violations, improper gameplay conduct (such as practice shots, multiple balls, or wrong-tee-box shots), inaccurate registration information, equipment that doesn’t conform to USGA standards, or suspected manipulation or fraud.
Gameplay outcomes are reviewed using the ForeFans Verification System and related gameplay data in accordance with the Official Rules.
Participation requires connectivity to the ForeFans Platform. If you can’t connect, do not attempt participation — the shot won’t be valid. You are responsible for ensuring you have adequate device, signal, and data connectivity before attempting the Game.
COURSE & GAME OPERATIONS
The Hole-In-One Challenge is designed to integrate into normal play — scan, pay, hit — typically in a matter of seconds. Your participation is voluntary and you should follow standard pace-of-play guidelines and the directions of course staff at all times.
ForeFans manages the verification platform and administration of the Game, while participating courses may assist with operational coordination and player notification procedures.
ForeFans may temporarily suspend gameplay due to technical issues, weather, safety concerns, operational issues, or other circumstances that may impact the integrity or operation of the Game.
ForeFans may suspend, modify, reschedule, or cancel Games due to weather, safety concerns, technical issues, or other operational circumstances.
Yes. ForeFans may suspend, modify, reschedule, or cancel a Game due to operational, technical, legal, weather-related, safety, or other business considerations.
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
Some prize challenges are funded through third-party insurance or underwriting arrangements. ForeFans is not an insurer. Where an underwriter is used, prize payment requires both (a) ForeFans’ verification AND (b) independent underwriter approval. If the underwriter denies coverage, ForeFans has no obligation to pay the insured portion of the prize, though ForeFans may, in its discretion, refund your Entry fee in such cases. Players have no direct rights against any underwriter.
Yes. The Hole-In-One Challenge is a skill-based promotional contest — outcomes are determined solely by the Player’s golf skill and performance. ForeFans is structured and intended to operate as a skill-based promotional contest under applicable Florida law. Participation is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Yes. All participation is subject to the Official Rules, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Mobile Waiver.
Golf activities involve inherent risks (errant shots, equipment failure, weather, course conditions). The Mobile Waiver acknowledges those risks; releases ForeFans, the host course, and other ForeFans Parties from liability for ordinary negligence; grants publicity rights; and confirms your agreement to the Terms of Service, Official Rules, and Privacy Policy. You’ll see and acknowledge the waiver as part of your registration flow each time you play.
Gameplay outcomes are reviewed using the ForeFans Verification System and related gameplay data, in accordance with the Official Rules. ForeFans’ verification determinations are final and binding to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Terms of Service include a binding arbitration provision and a class action waiver. Most disputes between you and ForeFans must be resolved through individual binding arbitration — not in court — after a 30-day informal resolution period. Small claims court actions and certain intellectual property claims are exceptions. See the Terms of Service for the full procedure.
